Autodesk Inventor Professional

As an Autodesk Inventor Professional (AIP) customer you now have fully functional, integrated simulation capability at your finger tips. With release AIP 11.0, all AIP customers can perform structural analysis studies on your part designs with in the AIP Interface. This feature is powered by the ANSYS technology used by tens of thousands engineers today for performing real product design validations electronically rather than by building prototypes and testing them. The ANSYS product family consists of a wide range of simulation solutions tailored to your type of industry and product application. Starting with the integrated functionality in AIP, you now have to ability to grow into assembly analysis or more advanced simulation physics. And you can do this without recreating the work that you've already started in AIP or without losing your associativity with the Autodesk Inventor model.

Upgrading - Creating a simulation in AIP represents the beginning of what you can simulate with ANSYS technology. As your requirements change and you need to solve more sophisticated problems, ANSYS has the solution. Here's some examples of upgrade needs and ANSYS product solutions:

Application ANSYS Product
Welded or Bolted Assemblies

AIP Integration - ANSYS products use a unique plug-in architecture to maintain associativity with AIP models, allowing you to make design changes without having to reapply loads and/or supports to you simulation model. Bi-directional associativity advances your productivity one step further by providing control of your AIP function parameters. With this feature, you can automatically define simulations for multiple CAD models (different function parameter values) then, your ANSYS simulation product will automatically update the geometry for each simulation situation and run the analysis for the new design.
